Needs reorganising

The entire wiki is a bit messy, organisation-wise. I've been meaning to restructure it..I just have more important things to do first. -- EvilSeph 22:40, 1 February 2011 (EST)

I can help restructure it if you would like, just explain how you need it restructuring -- Chris Ward - BukkitWiki Volunteer Admin 22:50, 1 February 2011 (EST)

Instead of listing tutorials on the main page, the portals should could be put to use, by removing all the resources here and putting up a link to the the portal instead. The link can be larger text, or a clickable image link such as [[File:DeveloperPortalBanner.png|frameless|center|400px|link=Portal:Developers]] Anyone have any thoughts on this? -- Sagacious Zed 01:11, 6 November 2011 (EST)

General

Made Bukkit Logo link back to the bukkit page. RightLegRed 18:43, 8 February 2011 (EST)

Broken Download Link

The Craftbukkit current build link goes to a 404 error. --Kiodane 16:13, 17 February 2011 (EST)

I've posted on the forums, should be fixed soon. Verox 18:07, 17 February 2011 (EST)

New Plugin Page Naming Style

I don't really like the new style for the naming of plugins (Page)-Plugin. Can it be changed back or to something less ugly?

I'm trying to centralize the discussion of this issue. Please see Category:TODO#Organisation. -- is that cj? (t|c) 10:15, 26 September 2011 (EST)

Main Page need protection?

Should the main page be protected, and have a main page sandbox for people to edit, and update it regularly? -- Chris Ward - Volunteer Admin (Report Spam) 06:41, 6 March 2011 (EST)

Really, nobody should have a need to edit the main page as all the links are done through templates, however, protecting it might hinder any updates that do need to take place (i.e. A notice needs putting up.) Seeing as nobody is vandalising the Wiki there isn't much need to protect the page. Verox 15:36, 6 March 2011 (EST)

I don't really like the logo centered when the rest of it is lef aligned, can it be moved out of the box or left aligned again pls? Chris Ward - Volunteer Admin (Report Spam) 09:08, 11 March 2011 (EST)

Changed "Latest Download" section

It now shows build number to make it easier for users of CraftBukkit/Bukkit to know what they're downloading. I am currently looking into ways to make it automatically update. Does it look ok?

Subpages

Apparently the use of subpages on normal wiki pages is disabled on MediaWiki by default. But this seems like a handy feature to actually enable to me. ArmEagle 15:38, 27 March 2011 (EST)

I recommend you post this on the TODO list too -- Chris Ward - Volunteer Admin (Report Spam) 07:30, 30 March 2011 (EST)

Disable numbering in TOC

We've used this on another MediaWiki I have used too, the option (per page) to disable automatic numbering of the Table of Contents (__toc__). This requires editing of the wiki's main CSS files but then easily allows someone to disable the numbering by surrounding the __toc__ tag with a classed div tag to apply the CSS rule that hides the TOC numbers. One hit about this can be found here: http://www.mwusers.com/forums/showthread.php?13934-MediaWiki-remove-TOC-numbers ArmEagle 17:30, 27 March 2011 (EST)

Languages

It may be a cool thing to set languages menu at the left. I'm going to translate some pages in french.

I recommend you post this on the TODO list too -- Chris Ward - Volunteer Admin (Report Spam) 07:30, 30 March 2011 (EST)
I should have read the main page better, since I didn't know about that page. Thanks, I posted these two requests there too. ArmEagle 16:28, 30 March 2011 (EST)

hMod link

hMod is long since dead, should we get rid of the link on the main page? Maybe delete the page too? ~ Chris Ward - Wiki Admin (Report Spam/Contact) 04:08, 25 July 2012 (EST)

That won't hurt my feelings resba - BukkitWiki Admin 11:39, 25 July 2012 (EST)

Javadocs cleanup

I've noticed a lot of links to the clunky doxygen system. I propose adopting a consistent policy of linking to http://jd.bukkit.org/apidocs/ (proper javadocs) for all API links. -mbaxter 14:37, 29 August 2012 (EST)

FAQ Page just says "MediaWiki FAQ is on mediawiki.org"

I don't know if we need to give the FAQ a special title or if we can override MediaWiki's /FAQ page, but it's rather confusing to have the Wiki with no access to a FAQ at all. This is probably a job for someone with escalated privledges to the wiki's configuration. --4am (talk) 20:27, 27 May 2013 (EST)

All Bukkit Downloads incorrectly linked to Craftbukkit downloads

Needs to be linked to Bukkit rather than Craftbukkit. i.e. See All Bukkit Downloads Kjhf (talk) 21:58, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Fixed, thanks -mbaxter (talk) 04:50, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

This is a original post by me.

Hello, I am new to the bukkit world but truly looking forward to the experience and using it.

I am having a problem. I am trying to start a bukkit server to test out some ideas for my main server (which is also not up yet) and i was running into a error. When I go to open the start.command, it says,

The file “start.command” could not be executed because you do not have appropriate access privileges.

To view or change access privileges, select the file in the Finder and choose File > Get Info.

Please help! I am in need of help fast! (By fast, I mean tomorrow!)

Thanks

The Zeusinator
